then, now, & after is a collection of interviews with members of the RISD (mostly illustration) class of 2020. In these interviews, I drew the interviewee and I asked five questions: Can you introduce yourself? Who were you when you came to RISD? Who are you now? Who do you think you'll be in a few years? And, optionally, I asked if they had anything else to add.
The final project is a small (4"x7") 48-page book. Each interview also includes a drawing and the interviewee's signature. My intent with this project was to document a very specific moment in my life and the lives of my peers, and create an easy-to-read and timeless design.
